I take you through the planning work, read and research the grant and devise compelling strategies to sell you and your project. We’ll collaborate to gather information and clearly respond to the applications requirements and present a credible budget.

Grant Writing Fees

Like any freelance consultant, my grant writing fees should fairly reflect the job scope (time, complexity, challenges) and my experience.

As a new freelancer grant writer I’m keen to find new clients, win grants for my clients and build my industry reputation. As such, my fees are at the lower-end and can be negotiated.

Typical grant writing packages

1. The flying start FEES - $200 + win fee 2.5% of awarded grant

   Research grant, review draft of completed application and supporting documents, give advice, revisions and final proof read.

   For small grants $5,000-$10,000 (self-directed / experienced applicant)

   Approximately 10 hours worked

2. The staggering start FEES - $350 + win fee 2.5% of awarded grant

   Researching grant and your practice, prepare application and supporting documents, revisions and final proof read.

   For larger grants / fellowships $20,000

   Approximately 20 hours work

3. The standing start FEES - $700 + win fee 2.5% of awarded grant

   Research grant and your practice, analysis, advise and devise strategies (over zoom / email), project manage, prepare application and supporting documents, revisions and final proof read.

   For large grants / fellowships >$20,000 (project managed / inexperienced applicant)

   Approximately 30+ hours worked

4. Quotes provided on request

   All grants are different. Applications vary in their complexity and the level of effort from the applicant and input from a grant writer.

   I’d be more than happy to discuss the scope, options and quote for my fees.

5. Payment Terms

   Services received will be invoiced on completion of work. As a small business I request payment within 7 days.
